As the colder months roll in, it’s only a matter of time before heart-warming soups and stews are the order of the day. But we’re hanging on to that barbecue spirit just a little longer with these delicious burgers. Infused with the full-bodied richness of St. Stefanus, they’re a guaranteed favourite in any home. Serve them with a cool glass of St. Stefanus for the ultimate food pairing.
- 500g beef mince
- Salt and pepper
- 1 heaped teaspoon of wholegrain mustard
- 1 clove of garlic
- A healthy glug of Worcestershire sauce
- A generous pinch of thyme
- A generous pinch of parsley
- Cooking oil (we recommend rapeseed oil)
- And of course, splash of St. Stefanus
- Fresh burger baps
- Your favourite salad
Place the beef mince in a large mixing bowl and season well with salt and pepper. Add the wholegrain mustard, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme and parsley, along with a generous splash of St. Stefanus to bind everything together.
With clean hands, bring all the ingredients together, ensuring that the herbs are spread evenly throughout the mixture. As everything comes together and the St. Stefanus has been soaked in, place the mix onto a chopping board. To make four burgers, split the mix into quarters and create patties about 1cm thick. To make the mix go further, you could also create six smaller burgers.
Place a griddle pan or large frying pan over a medium heat and add a drizzle of rapeseed oil. Add the burgers and press them down into the pan with a fish slice or spatula. Cook for around 6-8 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
Serve on a fresh burger bap with fries, salad and St Stefanus.
